Saloni debuted in Telugu with Dhana 51 and then she showed her acting skills in movies like Oka Oorilo, Chukkallo Chandrudu but the movies haven’t been successful. Then she acted in Magadheera in a special role and got a biggest break she could ever think with Maryadaramanna as Telugu Ammayi. But then she got busy in Kannada and did very little work in Telugu. She was last seen in Race Gurram in a three to four scenes character. Now, she is playing opposite Prdhuvi in Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu releasing this Friday.
What prompted this change in her career? When she was asked the same, she replied saying she was uncomfortable with the kind of roles offered and she would gladly wait for the good roles rather than playing roles that she is cut out to. She said that even though she doesn’t despise the sex comedies but she cannot do justice for them. Also she gets offers for item songs and horror comedies and she is not good to do them as well. She said unless and until she is comfortable and convinced that she can do justice to the roles she wouldn’t like to them up.
She did do movies in Kannada but she doesn’t want to take up item songs as they would regularly offered. She said she is happy with the role she is playing opposite Prudhvi and her pairing opposite him would be very funny and she enjoyed do it. Her role is named Samantha and Prudhvi is called Mahesh. The movie is up for a release on 16th December and Saloni is hopeful of it becoming a hit and help her being busy through out the year again.
