Akhil Akkineni has decided to take a leap forward in better direction after his first movie debacle. He took time off after the release of Akhil and has his life went through some depressing times, he bounced back with Hello. Akhil decided to meet press today and expressed his happiness with Hello’s success. He said, “I am happy with the messages like “I Hate You” from many girls and fans. Vikram Kumar decided to this film after he thought about the script that would suit me and I am thankful to him and my parents for this movie.”
He continued, “I was in my ultimate low personally and at that time, I needed to come out of bed and do everything that I did in Hello. I immersed myself in work and Vikram Kumar is such a tough task master that I learnt a lot from him on how to make a movie. I did involve in editing and few back ground works but Vikram never allowed me get into the shooting of the movie and it is his film that we shot. My father got involved in post production work but he couldn’t judge it after watching it 20 times before the final copy. I am glad a father figure like Chiranjeevi garu blessed me and him liking the movie, made my Dad, confident too.”
He talked about his next film and also, about his singing in the film. He said, “I am not a singer and Anup Rubens made me do this, because he thought my voice suited for the song. I won’t be insisting on singing further. I did not do Akhil, with right mindset and Hello, helped to come to terms with what should I look first in a script and I hope to make good films that become hits. My father cancelled his shoot for promotions and I can’t thank him more than this. He deserves a holiday and I will go on a small trip with my Brother, Chaitanya and sister-in-law, Samantha Akkineni for New Year but I will not take big gap. I will start shooting by February, once I fix on a script. I will announce on 10th January about my next one.” He concluded the press meet by saying that he loves the attention he got as an actor with this film and said, he will try to build on that further.
