Hyderabad Cyber Crime police have been investigating for months and tracked the main people behind pirating Telugu films. They have identified several key suspects operating from abroad.
Today they arrested Immadi Ravi the organizer of the piracy website iBomma, in Hyderabad.
Ravi who lives in St Kitts, Caribbean Islands, flew from France to India. Around Rs 3 crore was seized from him and he is now in police custody.
Investigations reveal Telugu cinema has lost over Rs 3,000 crore to piracy in recent years. iBomma is a major site uploading HD prints even before big films release.
More details are expected from Hyderabad police soon.
