Hulu US is in talks with singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh for a documentary series about his life and career. The series will showcase his journey.
It will also highlight key moments like his historic Coachella performance and the success of his Dil-Luminati Tour.
Discussions are still ongoing but if finalized shooting could begin this year. The idea for the documentary emerged after Diljit made history at Coachella 2023 as the first Punjabi artist to perform at the festival.
His Dil-Luminati Tour 2024 further proved his global reach drawing massive crowds across North America.
A report revealed that the 13 city tour in the US and Canada generated $112 million in economic impact, brought in $13 million in tax revenue and supported 5,300 jobs.
A source shared, “Hulu sees the potential in Diljit’s story. He has broken barriers from Punjabi music to Bollywood to the global stage. They want to document his journey from his early struggles to his rise in cinema and the worldwide impact of Punjabi music”.
