Hrithik Roshan Recalls Working With Rajnikanth As A Child Artist

On January 9, Netflix unveiled the trailer of its upcoming docuseries, The Roshans. The series explores the extraordinary life of the Roshans. During the event, Hrithik Roshan was shown a photograph of himself as a child artist with Rajinikanth from the movie Bhagwaan Dada (1986). Recalling a moment from the film’s shoot, the actor called himself a “foolish boy” for not understanding the importance of working with the iconic star.

Let us tell you that Hrithik was a child artist before making his debut as an adult in 2000. Bhagwaan Dada was directed by Hrithik’s maternal grandfather, J. Om Prakash. He was just 10 years old when he acted in the film. Upon seeing the picture, he said, “This is a photograph of a very ignorant little foolish boy who had no idea that he was standing with the greatest legend of all time. For me, he was Rajini uncle.”

Further, the Fighter actor stated if he gets a chance to work with Rajnikanth again, it would be a different scenario now. He explained, “I will realise the burden and the weight of the moment that I am sharing screen space with him.”

Sharing an anecdote from the sets of Bhagwaan Dada, Hrithik highlighted Rajnikanth’s behavior and said, “He was so gentle and so giving. Whenever I messed up a shot, my grandfather used to cut the shot. And Rajini sir used to take the blame, saying, Sorry, sorry, sorry. My fault. But it was my fault. Every single time I made a mistake, Rajni sir took the blame so that I, as a child, would not get conscious. So it was incredible.”

The Roshans is slated to release on January 17.
