The next chapter in the 2019 War franchise is near completion. Hrithik Roshan will reprise his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, while Kiara Advani will be seen in a crucial female lead cast. However, the most exciting aspect of the film’s second installment is Jr NTR making his Bollywood debut as a villain in War 2.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, War 2 is the next installment in the YRF Spyverse, following Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Emraan Hashmi’s Tiger 3, and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Meanwhile, there have been several questions surrounding the film’s release date, which the film’s dialogue writer, Abbas Tyrewala, has answered.
Talking to Lallantop in an interview, Abbas confirmed that War 2’s shooting is almost complete and also revealed its tentative release date.
Speaking to the outlet in Hindi, he stated, “The shoot of War 2 will be wrapped soon. I believe it will release on August 25. Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr will be seen in the film. I have penned the dialogues. I’m also working on another film. It’s directed by Siddharth Anand, titled King. Shah Rukh Khan is producing it.”
He further continued saying, “He is acting in the film with Suhana Khan [daughter]. I have also heard that Pathaan 2 is also in the pipeline. Hoping they [the makers] like my work and call me for it.

For the unversed, Abbas had penned the dialogues for SRK and Deepika Padukone’s 2023 movie Pathaan.
