Hrithik And Akshay Move Courts To Fight AI And Image Misuse

Hrithik Roshan approached the Delhi High Court to protect his personality rights while Akshay Kumar filed a similar plea in the Bombay High Court.

The Delhi High Court granted partial relief to Hrithik, ordering the removal of certain social media links and online listings that used his image and name for commercial gain.

However the court refused to take down his fan pages and Instagram accounts, as they weren’t being used for profit or defamation.

Hrithik’s lawyer, Sandeep Sethi, said that the actor’s name and pictures were being misused to sell items like bags and clothes and even used in dance tutorials without permission.

The court clarified that using a public song for a dance tutorial was not considered a violation. It agreed only to remove AI-generated content linked to Hrithik. Meanwhile Akshay Kumar also sought protection against misuse of his name and image through fake blogs and deepfake videos.
