How Much will RRR Collect at the Japanese Box Office?

SS Rajamouli’s pre-independence patriotic drama, RRR is all set to release in Japan on October 21st. The lead heroes NTR and Ram Charan already left for Japan for RRR promotions.

Going back to history, our Indian films managed to make some noise at the Japanese box office. The list of top five Indian-grosser films in Japan starts with Rajinikanth’s 90s film, Muthu which collected ¥400 million. The second one is SS Rajamouli’s visual wonder, Baahubali: The Conclusion which collected ¥365 million. While Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots grossed ¥149 million, English Vinglish and Prabhas’ Saaho collected ¥146 million and ¥120 million respectively.

As SS Rajamouli and his team are aggressively promoting RRR, we have to wait and see how much will this emotional action drama will collect at the Japanese box office.
