How could Acharya miss this major point?

Apart from the generally negative to mixed reviews that Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s recent film, Acharya, has been getting, there’s a major criticism that’s going around about the film. Audiences have been extensively comparing it with director Boyapati Srinu and Balakrishna’s film Akhanda, which was released last year.

With both the films dealing with the protection of dharma and one’s beliefs, one character showing up to protect the other and the climax portion of the film, audiences aren’t able to help themselves from not comparing the film to Akhanda. Then there’s also the fact that Chiranjeevi’s Acharya doesn’t have a heroine, similar to that of Balakrishna’s Akhanda.

With Akhanda having been released way back in December, everyone is wondering how come the team of Acharya failed to realise such a small point, and how they didn’t even make any efforts in slightly altering their story to make it not so similar to Akhanda.
