Honey Singh recently faced heavy criticism for a comment he made during a concert in Delhi. A video from the event went much viral on social media with many people calling his remark vulgar and inappropriate.
After the backlash, the singer responded and issued an apology saying he never meant to hurt anyone and that his words were taken out of context.
Honey Singh was a guest at Nanku and Karun’s concert held earlier this month. In the viral clip he appeared to encourage intimate behaviour which led to strong reactions online. Netizens were quick to troll him and the incident once again brought attention to the controversies around his statements and song lyrics.
In his clarification Honey Singh explained that before the show he had met few doctors who spoke about the growing problem of unsafe sex among youngsters.
He said his intention was to advise youth to use protection using language they relate to. However he admitted that his words offended some people and sincerely apologised promising to be careful in the future.
