Koratala Siva became a top tier director within a very short span of his career. He delivered a massive blockbuster with his very debut, in the form of Prabhas’s Mirchi, and then he entered the 100 Crore club with his second film, Mahesh Babu’s Sritmanthudu. His subsequent films, Janatha Garage and Bharat Ane Nenu were also highly successful at the box office.
What many may have forgotten is that Koratala was all set to direct Ram Charan in his second film, but the film failed to materialise for unknown reasons. It was after that, that Koratala teamed up with Mahesh for Srimanthudu. Back then, many thought that Srimanthudu’s script was what Koratala narrated to Ram Charan and that it was the same movie that he made with Mahesh after Ram Charan couldn’t do it. However, later on, Koratala came forward and clarified that the script he narrated to Charan was a completely different one.
Now, the same thing is happening to Koratala, yet again. There are several speculations that Koratala’s film with NTR is the same as the one he was supposed to do with Allu Arjun. Koratala was supposed to direct Allu Arjun after Acharya but plans changed, and he came on board as the director of NTR’s 30th film. While several speculations are going on, fans say that it is not true.
