I am highly guarded by my parents – Malavika

Malavika Nair decided to act in Telugu movies even though she is still pursuing her studies. She got name with Kalyana Vaibhogame but did not sign as many films as she is expected to.

The actress talked about Taxiwaala and its success with press. She said, “I am here to narrate stories. I am good writer other than an actor. I like to be creative space and hence, my parents encouraged me fully knowing it is a tough field.”

She then talked about how she is fine with acting in small roles but that have some significance. She said, “I want to be a part of good films. I am happy to do roles like I have done in Mahanati provided they have significance. I think about my character and impact it leaves on story more. Hence, I am not unhappy about the screentime.”

About the sexual harassment and #MeToo, she said, “Harassment is a huge problem that women are facing in day to day life all-over the world. I did not face such issues as I am heavily guarded by my parents and manager!”
