Hi Nanna’s Battle Against Medium-Budget Movies

The announcement of Salaar’s release on December 22nd has significantly reshaped the Christmas 2023 film landscape, leading to some strategic changes by other movie productions. Notably, Saindhav, Hi Nanna, and Extra Ordinary Man have all opted out of the Christmas race.

Saindhav, featuring Venkatesh, has now set its sights on the Sankranthi 2024 race, and an official announcement confirming this shift was recently made. Meanwhile, Nani’s Hi Nanna has adjusted its release date to December 7th, with an official announcement forthcoming.

This alteration in release dates has paved the way for a potential clash among medium-budget films. Hi Nanna’s new December 7th release date will go head-to-head with Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine, which is scheduled for release on December 8th.

Additionally, Vishwak Sen’s Gangs Of Godavari is also set to hit screens on December 8th, intensifying the competition. Nithin’s Extraordinary Man has joined the mix by moving its release date from December 22nd to December 8th.

The decision to avoid the crowded Sankranthi release window reflects the competitive nature of the film industry, as many other films are vying for attention during that period. Salaar, for instance, will face off against Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, and the Hollywood blockbuster Aquaman is also set to make its debut during the holiday weekend.
