NGK is releasing tomorrow and fans of Surya are awaiting the release of the film. This Selvaraghavan directorial has Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi as the leading ladies. As part of promotions, the director visited Hyderabad and here is what he says about the film.
What was your inspiration for NGK?
I wanted to make a film to show that a common man can bring a lot of change to the society. What if every starts wanting only luxury? What about a farmer then? All these things and situations get changed with political twists. So the kind of changes he will bring is the society forms the story of Nandha Gopala Krishna.
We heard that make actors give multiple takes for scenes. Why so?
I want to bring the best out of my actors and the magic has to be brought out of them. Or else we get only satisfactory shots. If we want the best, taking multiple takes is definitely not a bad idea. O I make sure that I check everything in the monitor before saying ‘okay’ to the shot.
This film has two heroines. Can you tell us about their importance?
This film has Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi as the leading ladies and both of them play strong roles. Sai Pallavi plays NGK’s wife and she is a middle class wife who supports her husband a lot. Rakul Preet is an intelligent and high profile officer who is behind all the drama that happens.
