The cult classic love story, “7G Brundavan Colony,” recently made a triumphant return to theaters, sparking excitement among fans. Notably, the film starred Ravi Krishna, the son of A.M. Ratnam, in the male lead role, with acclaimed director Selvaraghavan at the helm.
In a recent interview, Ravi Krishna revealed a captivating tidbit from the past. He disclosed that Selvaraghavan had once conceived an ambitious multistarrer project titled “Pudhupettai,” which was intended to feature powerhouse talents like Suriya, Dhanush, Simbu, Jayam Ravi, Genelia, and himself. The icing on the cake was that Yuvan Shankar Raja was slated to compose the music.
However, despite the promising lineup, the project eventually got shelved. Adding an intriguing twist to this narrative, it’s worth noting that Dhanush, one of the stars Selvaraghavan had envisioned for “Pudhupettai,” eventually starred in a film bearing the same name. “Pudhupettai” turned out to be a gripping gangster action drama, with Selvaraghavan directing Dhanush to critical acclaim.
This revelation has set social media abuzz, reminding fans of the might-have-been project and showcasing the unique synergy between Selvaraghavan and Dhanush in their successful collaboration on “Pudhupettai.”
