Two out of the three major pan-Indian releases of this year are out, shifting the focus of the Indian audience completely towards the final release, KGF 2, a sequel to the 2018 film, directed by Prashanth Neel. After the grand success of the first film, the expectations on the second part grew rapidly. The trailer of the film was released recently, which further increased the expectations on the film.
Given the tremendous success of the first part, the second part of KGF is packed with several big-name actors, including Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon, along with Prakash Raj and Rao Ramesh. While it is undeniable that KGF 2 has the responsibility of living up to the legacy of the first part, there’s also the fact that the film will dictate the future of director Prashanth Neel.
Prashanth Neel’s immediate release after KGF 2 would be Prabhas’s Salaar, which is being made on a massive budget, on a pan-Indian scale. With the fact that Radhe Shyam hasn’t done so well either, there’s a lot of pressure on KGF 2 to do well, as it also directly impacts Salaar, and Prabhas’s career.
