Since yesterday several false reports have been circulating online claiming that Bollywood actor Dharmendra has passed away.
These rumours spread quickly worrying fans across the country. To clear the air his wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol confirmed that Dharmendra is alive, stable and recovering.
Hema Malini shared on social media, “Thank you all for your concern. Dharam ji is in the hospital for observation and under constant care. Please pray for his speedy recovery”.
However, despite her clarification, a few news channels continued to spread false news about his death. Angered by this Hema Malini said, “This is unacceptable and disrespectful. Please allow our family privacy”.
Esha Deol also requested the media to stop spreading fake news adding that her father is stable. Dharmendra, who was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to breathing issues remains under medical observation.
What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.
