Hema Malini Says Awards Never Defined Dharmendra

Dharmendra’s absence from the Oscars “In Memoriam” section has sparked discussion but Hema Malini is not too concerned.

She said it is unfortunate that such a legendary actor was overlooked as he is admired by people across the world.

At the same time she feels Dharmendra himself wouldn’t have cared much as he never focused on awards and always valued the love of the audience.

She also shared that even she missed awards for her best performances in Lal Patthar and Meera.

Their son Sunny Deol added that their family was never lucky with awards, as many of their notable films went unrecognized.
