Megastar Chiranjeevi is one of the greatest actors of all time. Many young artists look up to him as a role model in cinema. 10 years ago, he decided to bid goodbye to films and forayed into politics. Though he was quite active in films, he said that he wasn’t happy during his tenure as a politician. So, he decided to make a comeback and did Khaidi No 150, which turned out to be a blockbuster hit. Every now and then, the actor voices his opinion on the current political happenings in the country. Recently, he had applauded AP chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s idea of decentralization.
However, this didn’t go down well with a section of people including the Amaravati JAC. Reportedly, members belonging to Amaravati JAC had planned to stage a protest in front of Chiranjeevi’s house in Hyderabad. Hence, the actor sought police protection and many police officers have been deployed at his residence to avoid an unnecessary protest. Meanwhile, the actor has commenced shooting for his upcoming film, which is tentatively called as Chiru 152. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film features Trisha as the female lead. Chiru 152 marks her comeback film in Telugu after almost a decade.
