Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor was planning to produce and star in a biopic about Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra. However after many years of discussions the project has been officially shelved. In an interview, Harsh confirmed this decision.
Harsh made his Bollywood debut with Mirzya in 2016 and has worked on a few films since then. The biopic was based on Abhinav Bindra’s life known for winning a gold medal in shooting at the Olympics.
There had been speculations about delays in the biopic’s release and despite everyone’s efforts the project couldn’t move forward.
A source mentioned that the script lacked the necessary drama and energy for a feature film and it was concluded that it would only work as a docudrama.
Harsh confirmed the film has been shelved. He was last seen in the Netflix action thriller Thar in 2022.
