What started as a small regional film with a Rs 2 crore budget has now become a major success, heading towards the Rs 200 crore mark in India.
Hanuman Ansh is now preparing for its overseas release, with strong advance bookings in North America.
The film has already crossed USD 150,000 in pre-sales ahead of its September 11th release and will release in more than 170 locations.
The film is based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba and follows Lakshmi Narayan, who leaves home after his mother’s death in search of God.
His spiritual journey eventually leads him to become Neem Karoli Baba. Written and directed by Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, the film stars Shobhit Srivastava and Chandan Anand.
