Performances: Nawazuddin Siddiqui is playing the role of a transgender in this film, he has played the role well. Haddi showcases Nawaz’s versatility in a powerful yet vulnerable way, and it is a commendable performance. Anurag Kashyap’s portrayal of Pramod Ahlawat is intimidating and forceful, which adds depth to the story. Ila Arun has also given a tremendous performance in the role of Amma. The rest of the actors have also performed well.
Technicalities: Akshat Ajay Sharma has taken charge of the direction of the Haddi film. He has woven the film in such a way that he cannot be praised enough. He has presented this story on screen in an emotional manner with which you can easily connect.
Analysis: The film has been written well. Recently, when Sushmita Sen’s Tali was released, after seeing Sushmita Sen in that film, I did not think that Nawazuddin Siddiqui would be able to give such a good performance. But now after watching the film after its release, there is less praise for it. The way she has molded herself into the character of a eunuch is really praiseworthy.
The special thing about the film is that even after many incidents happening in the film, the film does not lose its hold anywhere. The music of the film has made the film more impressive. The film becomes weak just near the climax but even there Nawazuddin Siddiqui has won hearts with his performance.
Verdict: Overall, this film is good and this film must be watched for the acting of Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Rating: 2.5/5
