Venkatesh Guru has been long in news for its storyline and also the Senior actor’s body transformstion. He is looking more bulky and fit for his boxing coach role. The producers have started the production of the movie in last October and wanted to release the movie in December. The movie production took a dent in its speed as the Demonetization struck like a jolt and the producers kept changing their dates and even considered Sankranthi and 26th January dates.
As Singham Suriya, announced 26th date the team postponed their film to April first week and incidentally, Singham released on 9th February after another postponement. The movie is the remake of Sudha Kongara’s Iruddhi Sutturu/ Saala Khadoos of Madhavan. The movie earned the actor great respect and revived his box office image at Tamil box office too. The movie also earned decent returns from Hindi market.
The movie has been a debut for Ritika Singh, real boxer who played the protege role perfect to the tee. She also earned a National award for her portrayal and best debut award as well. In Guru, while she is debuting in Telugu, with her as a boxing student, famous magician PC Sorcar Jr’s daughter, Mumtaz Sorcar is also making her debut. There is a good buzz about her performance and many believe that she can be a good addition to Telugu Film Industry. The music of the film will release in March as per producers.
