Guru postponed to April

In Film Industry there is no fixed date and time for a film release. A film could be released anytime the producers and crew feel is the best time to release. At times, it may result in long term delays but it is ultimately the producers who have to answer the financiers and arrange the finances in order to compensate losses for the delays. Well, at times it may all turn out good and producers might see more profits than losses with right release date. The film in the question now is Guru. The Victory Venkatesh starrer, has been first scheduled for a December release. But the makers thought with a slight delay in completion to release it for Sankranthi and then decided to release it for 26th January. But with Singham 3 of Suriya coming on that date, they wanted to avoid the clash and thought about a February release.

But now the makers have decided to make it a summer release and accordingly, saw the release calendar. With Mahesh23 moving out of April 14 date, the team thought of releasing the movie for April 7th as Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham is eyeing for April release going by the star’s sentiment with his previous three releases. The makers are said to be finally happy with the date and will release the film during the first week of April without fail. The movie is the remake of Saala Khadoos/ Irudhi Sutturu with the same crew headed by Director Sudha Kongara. Ritika Singh will reprise her role as the boxer and this time she will be seen as a die hard Pawan Kalyan fan in the film. Venkatesh sang his introductory promotional song for the movie.
