The biggest music night, the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, was held on Monday (February 3, 2025) at 6:30 am (IST). The event featured prominent names from the music industry, and the starry event was hosted by South African television personality Trevor Noah at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles, where the breakout music stars of 2024 were honoured.
With 11 nominations for her 2024 album Cowboy Carter, American singer-songwriter Beyonce made history as the first Black woman to win the Best Country Album award in over 50 years. She won the Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration II Most Wanted with Miley Cyrus.
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars paid tribute to Los Angeles as they dedicated their performance to the victims affected by the recent wildfires in Southern California. Indian-American vocalist and entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon won the Grammy award for the album Triveni in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category.
During the “In Memoriam” segment, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin delivered an emotional tribute to Liam Payne, former member of One Direction. The ceremony was filled with several memorable moments.
