Gopichand is one actor who built a reputation for himself over the years after a lot of struggle. He started off as Ace director T. Krishna’s son in the industry. Their production Eetharam films produced his first film, but the film failed to grab audience attention even though it was made by then big director Muthyala Subbaiah. After that he turned as a news anchor for Eenadu Television to get some exposure. After that he starred in Teja’s Jayam as a negative lead and got major prominence and fame. His next as a villain, Varsham also became a Blockbuster and he progressed to being a hero with his next home production, Yagnam directed by A.S RaviKumar Chowdhary. Then continued with Ranam, Shouryam, Okkadunnadu, Sahasam, Loukhyam, Lakshyam.
He scored hits and also had disasters like Mogudu, Wanted, Sankham, Soukhyam pulling him down. His next films in the direction of AM Jyothi Krishna and B.Gopal ran into troubles. While the B. Gopal film is said to be on track for a December release with Mani Sharma’s music. Oxygen which was slated for a October release is said to be halted due to creative differences between the hero and the director. Jyothi Krishna made previously films with Tarun titled Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu and his brother. Both the films became big flops even though Tarun’s film had popular music by legend A.R. Rehman.
But Jyothi Krishna is known for being a strict disciplinarian and want the shots to be well planned and executed on time. He is known to get erratic if anything goes wrong and apparently both director and hero had heated arguments over few scenes. Hero walked out of the shoot and the film is halted after nearly 85% is completed. Being a big budget movie and AM Rathnam’s comeback into Telugu, re launching his son, he is keen on finishing the project and releasing it. Right now Gopichand has moved on to his next with Sampath Nandi. In Oxygen Rashi Khanna is playing the leading lady. Will the movie shoot progress again is to be seen!?
