The God of War project has been seen as one of the most ambitious mythological films in recent times. Planned as a grand pan-India movie, it created huge buzz especially with stars like Allu Arjun and NTR linked to it.
With Trivikram as the director the film was expected to bring a fresh and powerful take on modern mythological cinema.
Recently Jiiva revealed that he is working on a film based on the stories of Lord Murugan calling it one of the huge projects in Tamil cinema. Since Lord Murugan is deeply worshipped by Tamil people the film carries strong emotional and cultural value.
Earlier director Kishore Tirumala also spoke about his mythological project Gowri Tanayana based on the same deity and driven by emotions and storytelling.
With multiple films exploring Lord Murugan, concerns about timing and originality have surfaced. If a similar film releases earlier, it could affect the impact of God of War.
