Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli are joining hands for the first time for their global adventure film GlobeTrotter officially titled Varanasi. The movie was launched in a grand ceremony at Ramoji Film City(RFC) where the entire team expressed their excitement and love for the project.
Producer KL Narayana said he had waited 15 years for this combination to happen and thanked both Mahesh and Rajamouli for keeping their promise to collaborate.
MM Keeravani recalled his long association with his brother Rajamouli and said Pokiri remains his all time favorite Mahesh film. Prithviraj Sukumaran said Rajamouli’s narration stunned him in the best way making him accept the role immediately. He also praised Mahesh and Priyanka Chopra.
Vijayendra Prasad revealed that the film had a massive 30 minute action sequence where Mahesh is in a completely new avatar. Priyanka expressed her joy in returning to Telugu cinema and called Rajamouli a true visionary.
Rajamouli said Varanasi will use a new “Premium Large Scale Format” for IMAX and seeing Mahesh dressed as Lord Rama gave him goosebumps. Mahesh Babu described the film as his dream project and promised to make the nation proud.
