The anticipation for the romantic film “Kushi,” starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha, has reached a fever pitch. With well-received songs and trailers, director Shiva Nirvana, known for hits like “Ninnu Kori” and “Majili,” is at the helm. Riding high on Deverakonda’s star power, the movie’s pre-release buzz has translated into impressive business.
“Kushi” has already notched up approximately 52 CR in worldwide pre-release theatrical transactions. Notably, the Andhra region’s six territories account for 20 CR, while Ceeded region’s earnings stand at 6 CR. The Nizam area is valued at 15 CR. The rest of India contributes around 3 CR, and overseas transactions amount to 7.5 CR.
Remarkably, this marks Vijay Deverakonda’s second film to surpass the 50Cr theatrical business mark, a feat that few other tier 2 heroes have achieved. The film’s profitability, bolstered by Deverakonda’s immense popularity, remains a point of interest.
“Kushi,” produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, boasts a strong ensemble cast including Murali Sharma, Jayaram, Sachin Khedakar, Saranya Pradeep, and Vennela Kishore. The music, composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, known for his work on the Malayalam film “Hrudayam,” adds to the film’s appeal.
