Genelia D’Souza Says She Didn’t Choose her Career

Genelia D’Souza reflected on her path into the world of film and revealed that she fell in love with acting along the road.

With her iconic role in the 2008 film “Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na,” one of Bollywood’s most beloved actresses Genelia D’Souza, or “Meow,” as many affectionately refer to her, has had a two-decade-long journey in the acting profession. She claims performing picked her rather than the other way around.

In the course of her two-decade career, Genelia has worked in films not just in Bollywood but also in Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Genelia D’Souza reflected on her path into the world of film and revealed that she fell in love with acting along the road.

My adventure has been great, in my opinion. Due to the fact that my career selected me rather than the other way around, it has been a voyage of gratitude. On the way, I fell in love,” Genelia D’Souza told IANS.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of people, regions, and hence I feel your craft has developed so much more,” she continued, “because a girl in the north will be different from a girl in the south, and having the opportunity to play so much just makes it a wholesome career.”

Genelia D’Souza, who is getting ready for the debut of her new movie “Trial Period,” was last spotted in the 2022 Hindi blockbusters “Mister Mummy” and “Ved.” Previously, she was in the film force 2 released in 2016

Will we now get to see her on film more frequently?

“At first, I like planning the entire year ahead when I made films. However, I now feel that making a film requires taking that much time away from children and requires providing much more than simply making a few films. I simply want to take ownership of a decision I make. The actress, who is wed to actor Riteish Deshmukh, said, “I’d like to do a lot more work but I’m happy to wait it out if it takes that kind of time to wait out too.

In February 2012, Ritesh and Genelia D’Souza wed. 2014 saw the birth of the couple’s first child, Riaan. Rahyl, their second child, was born june 2016

As her children were small, the “Tujhe Meri Kasam” actress wanted to concentrate on family life.

“At first, I took a hiatus because I thought I needed the time while my kids were still small. I believe I am now prepared and am willing to take on a lot more work. I believe there is a lot more work that also follows my wishes.

Genelia D’Souza thinks she would work more right now.

Therefore, I do think I’ll be working a lot harder today than I did in the previous 10 years.

In her next movie, “Trial Period,” Genelia plays a single mother named Ana, whose life is turned upside down when her curious son seeks a father for a 30-day trial period.

“Yes, ‘Trial Period’ is a humorous and innocent movie, but what interested me was that it was about a mother and all the things that go along with that. It is a beautiful family entertainment.

It has a variety of family and neighbour themes in a love narrative that isn’t really traditional. It is extremely rural and urban, which makes it really fascinating.

‘Trial Period’ is scheduled to premiere on JioCinema on July 21. It is created by Jyoti Deshpande, presented by Jio Studios, a Chrome Pictures production, and produced by Hemant Bhandari, Amit Ravindernath Sharma, and Aleya Sen.
