The third season of Aha’s successful series Geetha Subramanyam is streaming on the OTT platform. Let’s see how it fares.

Story: Geetha (Abhigya Vuthaluru) and Subramanyam (Spuraj Ranga) at a software company in Hyderabad. Here, the rule is no employee should fall in love and if they do, they will be fired. Knowing this, Geetha and Subramanyam fall in love and even end up in a live-in relationship hiding things from the office and also the outside world. The twist in the tale arises when Geetha’s ex-boyfriend creates an issue was which leads the office people to come to know about the new couple in the office. What will Geetha and Subramanyam do now? How will they solve their personal and professional issues, forms the crucial crux.

Performances: Compared to the first two seasons, the lead pair gave a mature performance. Both Abhigya and Spuraj perfectly fit into the given roles and acted with confidence throughout the series.

Also, the conflict point in the series is also established quite effectively. Good care has been taken to make the story go smoothly without getting bored anywhere for the most part. Despite positive aspects, there is a lot of scope for entertainment, but the director Siva Sai doesn’t seem to have taken a lot of things lightly. Also, the dialogue delivery of the characters and the way the characters behave is a major demerit of the series.

Technicalities: The music composed by Pawan is soothing as the instrumentation is in perfect sync with the scene order and proceedings.

The photography work is emoted in visuals and the premise in a grand manner. The editing work is done perfectly without any lags in the scene establishment.

Production design work is captivating and so is the case with design work.

The dialogues written by the team are natural and in gel with the scene order and characterization.

Analysis: There are so many scenes where the drama would have been explored in a more gripping way but for some reason, the things are presented in a lighter vein.

The basic premise of the show is in engaging note with a modern take of a live-in couple and how they get into issues within their office and personal life is shown in an authentic manner.

Even though it is about a couple in romance, the makers have kept things neat in this eight-episode series.

Though they are a few ups and downs here and there the episodes are covered nicely towards the climax. As the final portions are coated with nice emotions. The way things end on a positive note is quite good and the emotions shown are also showcased decently.

Verdict: New-generation rom-com!
