Geetha Govindam was a laugh riot

Manikandan, is growing in popularity as a cinematographer in TFI. He did work for films like Srirasthu Subhamasthu and Mukunda till Geetha Govindam. The success of the recent movie made many makers notice his talent and give him opportunitues. The cinematographer talked about the film to media and he shared his happiness about the success.

He said, “Parasuram liked my work in Tamil movie, for which I got an award and called me up first. I accepted his offer, but before we could start work, I did Mukunda. After the film, Parasuram’s movie, Srirasthu Subhamasthu started and we liked each other. I could see his visual sense and tune myself to it. During the shoot, he told me a small line of Geetha Govindam and told that I should be prepared for a laugh riot.”

He continued, “I did Magalir Mattum in Tamil before he completes his script and he appreciated my work for that film too. Once we started working on GG, we had to shoot all day and even night at times, due to location permissions. We used natural colors and lighting in Annavaram and for that my team got in touch with locals to know the traditions. We did mostly shoot in natural locations so lighting became a little bit challenging to me. Vijay and Rashmika’s energy and chemistry, made us forget all the stress during the work and it was a laugh riot experience for me.”
