Nandamuri Balakrishna’s prestigious 100th movie, historical Gautamiputra Satakarni featuring the historic King of Telugu people who ruled from Himalayas to Kanyakumari at one time, is fast gearing up for a huge release for the mega festival, Sankranthi. His fans are eager to watch their idol bring the legendary royal personality to life in the manner only he can. Satakarni is known to be the inspiration for many great rulers and warriors like Chatrapati Sivaji and director of the film, very emotionally expressed his dissatisfaction over Telugu people not caring for their history and being ignorant about such a capable ruler of Telugu decant.

The King’s birthday is actually celebrated as first day of the year, Ugadi in our states and also many other. With such a historically important film the crew did not want to take any chances so they preplanned each and every intricate detail to the core before starting the shoot. They shot huge battle sequences in the starting schedules to give VFX people time to give them the best output. In the later stages they completed the scenes involving Gautami Balasri, played by Hema Malini and Vashistha Devi, played by Shriya.

The songs were said to be picturized very very well on screen and the song sang by SP Balasubramanyam and the burra Kadha would be highlight for the film it seems. The makers have first planned to get ready with their first copy by 26th December but later changed that date to January 3rd as they wanted to enhance sound mixing and give time for one VFX oriented sequence as well. All has been set as per plan it seems and the team has already approached censor office for certification on January 5th. The movie is planned for a 12th January release as off now.
