Gautam Vasudev Menon’s South Indian multistarrer still on!

South Indian crazy director Gautam Vasudev Menon has always been a person to make different and meaningful cinema within the limits of commercial elements. His films always resulted in a great discussion about the innovative script and decent entertainment value for repeat audience. He started with Cheliya movie and remade it in Hindi. After that movie his Khaka Khaka gave him great following among the youth of Tamil Nadu and the hit of that film prompted the movie to be remade in Telugu as Gharshana with Venkatesh. With the two films he became popular all over South India. His next Raghavan with Kamal Hasan, Surya S/O Krishnan with Suriya increased his popularity by leaps and bounds.

His bilingual with Simbu, Trisha and Naga Chaitanya, Samantha, Ye Maaya Chesave/ Vinaithandi Varuvaya placed him the league of Mani Ratnam and Balachander. Since then he failed to recreate the same kind of magic on screen but his Yennai Arindhal with Ajith and Accham Enbathu Madamayida/ Sahasam Sawasaga Saagipo did give him commercial respite.He is gearing up for release of his first movie with Dhanush, Ennai Nokki Payum Thota and looking to start soon his movie with Chiyaan Vikram, Dhruva Nachchitram. He also announced several other storylines and interesting combos that he would like to touch upon next. In them he did announce a South Indian Multistarrer across the different popular film industries of South India, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

According to the story idea, an upcoming actor or even established young actor from each industry will act as friends, that is, four friends from different cultural backgrounds and linguistics coming together to go on a tour. What happens during that and what they do forms the crux of the story? The movie was thought to be shelved but the talks are on with actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sai Dharam Tej, Simbu and Puneeth Rajkumar. A telugu producer is interested in the idea and want to produce it as well in Telugu. The complete details are yet to be known.
