Gautam Vasudev Menon became an household name across Tamil film lovers after his Minnale, Khaka Khaka. He grew in stature with Vettiyadu Vilayadu, Varnam Ayiram, Vinnathandi Varuvaya. The films gave him name and fame in Telugu as well, as they were made as Gharshana and Ye Maaya Chesave and others are dubbed and released as Cheli, Suriya S/O Krishnan and Raghavan. Actor Vikram after struggling for a decade got success with films like Seshu, Saamy, Anniyan and with Anniyan dubbed as Aparichitudu in Telugu.
Now if these two stalwarts come together for a film, how would that be? With acting capabilities of Vikram and directorial brilliance of Gautam Menon, we expect nothing than a sensational content driven film. From a very long time both of them have been in talks but nothing finalised between them. Before Saamy, Gautam was in talks with Vikram for a cop story but Vikram did not want to do such an intense film during the time. After, that as well, they met several times but they are finally collaborating now. Gautam himself announced this during his media interaction. Gautam is currently busy finishing his movie with Dhanush, Ennai Nokki Payum Thotta.
He had to struggle hard to finish his movie with Simbu and Naga Chaitanya simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil as Accham Yenbadhu Madamayida and Sahasam Sawasaga Saagipo. With two movies collecting well in two languages giving Gautam Menon a sigh of relief after long struggle, he is rejuvenated to look forward to even bigger and better films in future. Well, se can’t wait for Dhanush film and Vikram film with GVM!
