In order to prepare for his part in Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, Gaurav Chopraa returned to his Punjabi origins and gorged on parathas.
Actor Gaurav Chopraa, who will soon be featured in the movie “Gadar 2,” has revealed that for his role in the movie, he forwent going to the gym and instead had a blast binge-eating parathas.
Gaurav is well-known for his considerable television career, having appeared in a number of popular programmes like “Uttaran,” “Sadda Haq,” “Bigg Boss 10,” “Nach Baliye 2,” and “Left Right Left.”
He appeared in the 2006 American political action thriller movie “Blood Diamond” with Hollywood celebrity Leonardo DiCaprio and actress Jennifer Connelly.
I’m a punjabi, hence I’m talking about going back to my Punjabi origins in terms of diet for my character in ‘Gadar 2’,” the actor told For me, eating parathas in the “Gadar 2” environment was the finest thing and felt like returning home.
Since parathas are my all-time favourite food and were included in the nutrition plan for “Gadar 2,” which I had to follow, he added, “it’s like totally reliving my childhood.”
Recently, the teaser for “Gadar 2” was published, promising to recapture the enchantment of the original, which debuted in 2001, 22 years ago, and at the same time as another Bollywood sensation Aamir Khan’s Oscar-nominated film “Lagaan.”
In the sequel to the 1971 film Gadar, Tara Singh returns to Lahore, Pakistan, in the midst of the “Crush India” anti-Indian campaign, to bring his son Charanjeet back.
Anil and Zed Studios jointly produced the movie.
At the unveiling of the movie’s teaser, Sunny Deol had earlier remarked, “The first Gadar when we made people made it into a Gadar (humongous).” It was always a little frightening to touch a movie that was so finished.
On August 11, ‘Gadar 2’ will make its theatrical debut with ‘OMG 2’, which stars Akshay Kumar.
