Director Shankar Shanmugam finds himself at the center of blame for the prolonged production of Ram Charan’s highly-anticipated social entertainer, ‘Game Changer,’ which has been in the making for nearly two years. Despite various production challenges causing delays, it’s important to note that Shankar isn’t solely responsible for this extended timeline.
Unfortunately, he has been subjected to unwarranted trolling from Mega fans. Even for delays caused by Ram Charan’s unavailability, fingers are unfairly pointed at Shankar. The recent postponement of a scheduled shoot in Hyderabad, due to Charan’s minor injury and subsequent unavailability, further ignited fans’ frustration towards the director.
While it’s true that Shankar is taking more time than expected to complete the film, it’s crucial to consider that Charan also took multiple breaks for other professional commitments and personal responsibilities. Thus, continuously trolling Shankar without understanding the full picture is unjust.
According to the latest reports, a fresh schedule is set to begin on October 6th, with Shankar aiming to wrap up the entire shooting process by early summer, targeting a mid-2024 release. Dil Raju is backing this big-budget production, featuring Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah in prominent roles.
