Team ‘Fukrey’ celebrated the occasion with the original gang in advance of the film’s tenth anniversary of release.
Team “Fukrey,” made up of Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Vishakha Sing, and Priya Anand, as well as director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, staged a special event in Mumbai on Tuesday in anticipation of the movie’s tenth anniversary of its release.
‘Fukrey’ was released on June 14, 2013, and it quickly became a box office phenomenon. The movie, which was made by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the Excel Entertainment label, had a rocky start and received negative reviews, but it eventually became a surprise blockbuster. The $8 million movie made $49 million at the box office.
A single film that was released rapidly became a franchise, and its second installment, which came out in 2017, was also a success, inspiring the creators to create the animated series “Fukrey Boyzzz” for teenagers.
The cast of the movie gathered and smiled for the cameras ahead of the release of its threequel, “Fukrey 3.” In addition, Pankaj Tripathi has been brought on board for “Fukrey 3.”
Ahead of the June 16 release of his Hollywood feature, “Kandahar,” which also stars Gerard Butler, Ali Fazal attended the occasion and took pictures with his wife Richa Chadha, whom he met while filming “Fukrey.”
A political voyage will be taken by Richa Chadha’s character, Bholi Punjaban, according to the movie’s first-look poster, which was shown in January.
She is pictured sitting on a bamboo chair with the logo of her political party around her neck. The movie is scheduled for release on September 7.
