Champion is a sports-based period action film with a patriotic touch. Roshan and Anaswara Rajan played the lead roles and the team held a success meet today.
Producer Swapna Dutt said that Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema always focus on strong, content driven films that involve effort and risk instead of easy projects.
She shared that producers Kiran, GK Mohan, and Zee fully supported the film and never questioned the budget. When director Pradeep narrated the story, she was immediately impressed.
At first, they discussed whether a big star or a young actor should play the role of Michael. Later, GK Mohan suggested Roshan, saying he was perfect for the role.
Swapna Dutt revealed that Roshan spent more than three years working on the film and felt happy that Champion turned him into a star. Roshan thanked Swapna Dutt for her support and spoke emotionally about the memorable Bairanpally shoot, while also appreciating the encouragement from the entire team.
