Dil Raju recently shared that Game Changer starring Ram Charan and directed by Shankar, caused the biggest financial loss of his career.
The film had high expectations at launch, with a top hero, a legendary director and a massive budget. However, constant delays and poor promotions led to a drop in public interest.
By the time it released the film received negative reviews and failed at the box office, reportedly causing losses of over Rs. 100 crore.
Raju revealed he sensed the film might not perform well before its release and mentally prepared himself. He then pinned his hopes on another film from his banner, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which was scheduled for a festive Sankranti release.
Thankfully, it turned out to be a blockbuster. Raju gave all the profits from that film to distributors who lost money on Game Changer. He also thanked Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan for supporting the release, which helped balance the situation.
