Fresh troubles for Karthikeya 2

A few days back we reported that Nikhil and Anupama Parmeshwaran’s Karthikeya 2 will be releasing on August 12th. True to the report, the makers have made an official announcement on the film’s release date very recently.

Meanwhile, the latest news is that noted distribution company Primeshow Entertainment which bagged the rights of the film for twin Telugu states has dropped the deal. Reportedly, the distribution company feels that releasing Karthikeya 2 in competition with Nithiin’s Macherla Niyojakavargam will be a risky task from them to recover the invested amount.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Karthikeya 2 is a franchise of the 2015 hit, Karthikeya. Produced by Abhishek Agarwal and TG Vishwaprasad, Karthikeya 2 will have a simultaneous release in Hindi and Tamil languages along with Telugu.
