Darshan has faced a setback in the Renukaswamy murder case after a Bengaluru court rejected his request to postpone recording of co-accused Pradosh’s statement.
The court directed that it be recorded on September 28th. Darshan’s team sought a week’s delay to approach the Supreme Court against a Karnataka High Court order.
However, prosecution opposed the request, saying the order was uploaded the same day. The court accepted the argument and rejected Darshan’s plea.
Pradosh, accused No. 14, was allowed to become an approver and must reveal information he knows about the murder.
The High Court upheld his status but allowed Darshan to cross-examine him. Meanwhile, Pavithra Gowda’s bail plea was rejected.
