It is well-known that the makers of Nani’s upcoming film, Shyam Singha Roy have erected a costly set for the film in the outskirts of Hyderabad. As per the reports, the worth of the set is approximately Rs 65 crore and is said to be a recreation of the iconic Kolkata Kali temple.
The team even canned a few crucial episodes in the set but after witnessing a surge in the Covid cases, the shooting was stalled temporarily. Now, the latest news coming in from media circles is that the temple set was damaged partially due to the recent rains and climatic changes in Hyderabad. Sources confirm that the makers should invest Rs 2 core more to rework on affected sets before resuming the shoot.
Being helmed by Rahul Sankrityan, Shyam Singha Roy is an intense period drama and has Sai Pallavi and Kirthi Shetty as the female leads. Niharika Entertainments banner is bankrolling the movie with a whopping budget of Rs 40 crore.
