Fresh Controversy Surrounds Yash’s Toxic

Yash’s upcoming pan-India film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has landed in a new controversy before its release. As per reports, the National Christian Federation has objected to the way religious images are shown in the film.

Earlier the Karnataka State Commission for Women had raised concerns about bold scenes in the teaser.

Now the Christian group has complained that Saint Michael was shown in a negative way and that some explicit scenes were shot in front of related religious imagery which is not good for them.

They said this hurt the sentiments of the Christian community and demanded a public apology. They also demanded the team to remove the visuals from promotions.

The makers have not yet responded. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas and co-written by Yash, features Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. It is scheduled to release on March 19th.
