Fraud Case Blocks Shilpa Shetty’s Work

Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra are facing a Rs 60 crore fraud case. The Bombay High Court has said they must deposit Rs 60 crores if they want to travel abroad for personal reasons.

The couple had requested the court to cancel the Look Out Circular (LOC) against them, but the court refused.

Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam A. Ankhad clearly told them, “We cannot allow you to travel for leisure”.

Shilpa Shetty had work in Los Angeles from October 21–24 and also planned a holiday in the Maldives from October 26–29, but those plans are now on hold.

The case was filed by Deepak Kothari, Director of UY Industries, who accused them of a Rs 60 crore fraud. The Bombay High Court has now ordered the couple to repay the money, and the next hearing is on October 14th.
