Rashmika Mandanna, won fresh face contest in Bangaluru and got a chance to work in a college based romantic movie, Kirik Party. The movie became a sensational hit and the actress found a life partner too in Rakshit Shetty, with the film. Now, the actress is debuting with Chalo in Telugu. The movie is releasing on 2nd of February and she talked about the film with media today.
She talked about how she ended up getting Chalo offer. “The director Venky, saw my film and immediately, tracked me down to act in his movie. I was excited to be a part of Telugu movie and I accepted the film. We had formal meetings and once, I got a narration, I accepted the film. I found speaking in Telugu very difficult and even though I did ask my friend to teach me, I could only pick it up once I started interacting with people more,” told the young beauty.
She then said, ” I found Naga Shaurya and Vijay Devarakonda, her next film hero, more unpredictable than my co-stars in Kannada. I knew their films and what they would do but here, I am completely new and they do something extremely different than I expected. I improved myself while acting with them and I am extremely lucky to have pushed myself to dub in this movie. As I play a girl not from native Telugu speaking family, my original voice with a slang, suited the character more, I believe. I hope people will find my film as entertaining as my first film, Kirik Party, as I heard it is quite popular in Telugu too.” Chalo, starring Naga Shaurya, Rashmika Mandanna, is directed by Venky Atluri.
