It is well-known that three noted films like Maha Samudram, Most Eligible Bachelor and Pelli SandaD had a theatrical release during the Dusshera festival season.
While Maha Samudram starring Sharwanand and Siddharth in the lead roles failed to register good revenues and tanked at the box office, Akhil and Pooja Hegde’s romantic drama, Most Eligible Bachelor and Roshan Srikanth’s Pelli SandaD managed to generate maximum revenues cashing in on the festival weekend.
As per the trade reports, Most Eligible Bachelor collected a whopping share of close to Rs 14.5 crore in Telugu states in the first weekend. On the other hand, K Raghavendra Rao’s Pelli SandaD collected close to Rs 4 crore in the first three days which is a solid figure considering the film’s budget and almost new faces as the casting. On the other hand, Rentrak reports suggest that Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor has minted more than $400K at the US box office and is heading towards a safe bet for all the exhibitors there
