Opened to below-par reports, last Friday releases Wild Dog and Sulthan completed their first week run at the box office. As per the trade reports, both Wild Dog and Sulthan failed to bring a good number of the audience to the theatres.
Reportedly, by the end of its three-day run at the box office, Wild Dog collected a share of approximately Rs 2.5 crore in twin Telugu states. On the other hand, Karthi’s Sulthan managed to generate Rs 2.6 crore in Telugu by the end of its first weekend. Adding to it, the overseas collections for both Wild Dog and Sulthan are disappointing and heading towards washout disasters.
A section of trade also opinions that the sudden spike in Covid-19 second wave cases across both Telugu states is also a reason behind the underperformance of both films and the scenario is indeed ringing warning bells to upcoming biggies like Vakeel Saab, Love Story and Tuck Jagadish.
