Actress Lakshmi Menon, who was roped in to play the leading lady in Valmiki was replaced by Pooja Hedge and this news was doing rounds since a long time. Well, after this, news that there are remuneration issues with Pooja and that is why there has been no confirmation was heard. Valmiki is the Telugu remake of Jigarthanda, a Tamil blockbuster which released in 2014. When all these rumours were doing rounds, director Harish Shankar took to Twitter to announce that the remuneration issues’ completely wrong and asked the fans to wait till he officially announces something.
Finally, the day has come and Harish has made the announcement. Taking to social media, Harish wrote “Love to announce on this auspicious day from the team of Valmiki that Very soon we gonna Surprise you guys with a pre-teaser” and tagged Varun Tej, Atharva Murali, DOP Ayanaka Bose and Pooja Hegde in the tweet. So, the dusky bombshell will be reprising Lakshmi Menon’s role.
While Varun Tej will be reprising the role played by Bobby Simha, it is said that Tamil actor Atharva Murali will be playing the role which was played by Siddharth.
