Still, he kept working without taking breaks and continued to release movies regularly. His latest film Kesari 2 released on Friday and got a good response from the audience. The movie also did much better at the box office compared to his recent films.
The film saw good growth in collections on Saturday, and Sunday’s numbers were even stronger. Kesari: Chapter 2 comes as a big relief for Akshay Kumar. Now, the film needs to do well during the weekdays to become a hit.
This movie is a historical courtroom drama directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
It is based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. The lead roles are played by Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday.
